Our company.

Facility and production

Our production is designed to implement both standardized and special customer requirements. The products go through various production and finishing steps, which correspond to the standard of quality assurance tested according to the ISO 9001 quality standard. We undertake the machining of the complete bearing according to drawings. In addition to our own foundry, we use modern CNC, turning and milling machines. You are welcome to make an appointment with us to get your own impression of our production facility.

Over 80 years of family business.

  • Today

    Today we supply leading manufacturers of turbines, gearboxes, compressors, pumps and turbomachinery that are in use worldwide. The Edelmann Gleitlagertechnik Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH is the distribution and sales partner of Edelmann Gleitlagertechnik GmbH

  • 2002

    Since 2002, we are a member of the German Engineering Federation (VDMA).

  • 1997

    In 1997, the sole proprietorship was converted into Edelmann Gleitlagertechnik GmbH.

  • 1970

    With the move to a new production facility in 1970, the area of cylinder and crankshaft grinding was discontinued in favour of an expansion of the production of white metal plain bearings of various types and shapes, from single-piece bearing bushes to complex two-piece or multi-piece bearings.

  • 1947

    In 1947 production was resumed in Plochingen/Württemberg.

  • 1945

    Until 1945, the focus of production was on cylinder and crankshaft grinding as well as the manufacture and repair of main, connecting rod and camshaft bearings.

  • 1936

    The Edelmann company was founded in 1936 by Elimar Edelmann in Königsberg/ East Prussia and has been family-owned ever since.
